EFFECTIVE APRIL 1, 2010 THE CHAMPIONS AREA VOLUNTEER FIRE DEPARTMENT (CAVFD) IS NO LONGER THE FIRE SERVICE PROVIDER FOR THE UNINCORPORATED AREA OF NORTHWEST HARRIS COUNTY KNOWN AS THE CHAMPIONS AREA. 

HARRIS COUNTY EMERGENCY SERVICES DISTRICT 29 (ESD29) is now in control of fire, rescue, and first responder medical services for the Champions Area.
